My by far very best military Reserve experience was a two week summer camp in Norway doing a joint excercise. The place was gorgeous but the women were amazing. Norwegian moonshine was also pretty amazing. But back to the very very friendly women. Basically anyone in my unit who was so inclined found female companionship, without paying for it. Which is very atypical for a typical Marine Reserve summer camp. I personally got to spend a short week-end with a Norwegian colonels daughter, because daddy and momma were salmon fishing. I asked her if they came home early should I salute as I bolted out the door. She had a diamond in her nose and really liked Frank Zappa and pot, which is about all I remember after 40 years.
