Champys hot and spicy breading on dark meat meal. Don’t care for their plain breading.

Lee's in Jasper is good. Best baked beans anywhere Another vote for Lee's in Jasper. Price is right too.

Eugene’s jumbo chicken tenders meal with the potato salad and blue cheese dressing. Hot is plenty hot but the next two higher will light a fire under you.
Added: Champy’s tastes great but I gotta hit outhouse with 30 minutes every time we go there. Now, if you ever go to Chattanooga go to Bea’s on Dodds ave. Sundays between 11:30 and 4 there will be a line rain or shine. There’s a gas station in Wilton just South of Montevallo on 25 with good chicken, tater wedges, and happening egg rolls. Think it’s a chevron.

Krispy krunchy chicken at at gas stations is pretty dang good too As much as it hurts to agree that mass produced gas station chicken can be good, you’re right. Also, anyone who says Publix has good fried chicken needs to try fried chicken just about anywhere else. Could be chicken is like bbq and very personal, but I think Publix fried chicken absolutely SUCKS. The spicy unbattered chicken wings are night and day better than the salty, over battered, over cooked fried chicken.

Popeye's chicken used to be pretty good, I can skin some chickin up to the the white bones too I love it.....YMMV...
