Echo is the best because they bought Shindaiwa and rebranded all the Shindaiwa stuff to Echo.

I'm still using the Shindaiwa I bought new in 1996. Did change the spark plug on it last year, but that's it other than wearing out about 6-8 trimmer heads.

I got the echo straight shaft residential over 10 years old replaced the fuel lines a few times and run it full blast. I don’t recommend getting the high torque models unless you need it, they seem to be slowet

My 17yr old Stihl FS80's throttle cable broke and I couldn't find a replacement online or through a dealer (apparently isn't on made for it). So, I just bought a Milwaukee battery powered since I no longer do lawn care. So far, I like it and plan to buy the Pole Saw attachment next. Besides the throttle cable the old Stihl is still a good trimmer that has taken years of abuse doing lawn care.

Home depot is very limited on what they carry, mainly residential.

The website shows dealers, there are many and they have more of a commercial selection.

You have to get in the 90 series of Stihl to be able to put a blade on it I think.

Echo weed eaters at home Depot are weak as piss. I returned mine and bought a Stihl. You can't beat Stihl at anything in my book.

If Tanaka is still in business I’d buy one of theirs.
