I’ve always liked the rule of one weapon in the woods per membership. Bring whoever you want, friends, family, etc, but you’re not going to take up any more spots or create any more pressure or kill any more deer, than a single member. I'm big proponent of this rule as well. Club can get overrun with guests all using 1 membership. You can still take a guest with this rule, but they must sit together and with 1 weapon. Really a double purpose to this; the obvious is that it's not additional added pressure ,as you're sitting together, but also, the membership holder can limit what buck/doe is killed and help ensure the guest isn't blasting your stud young bucks.

Great area, and a turnover because of lack of deer doesn’t sound right. You need to find some doctor lawyer types to help cover that high lease price while keeping hunter numbers low.

You guys make great points. I agree. We have an area that is across the road. We might limit that to the guest area, as long as the member is with them. Or just have some guest days. Haven’t figured exactly what to do yet.

There was turnover because of the previous person running it. I’m pretty much wiping the slate clean with only members I feel understand what the property can become. We’ll find the right types, but I’d rather be patient abs get a good group than rush it and have a bunch of trouble.
