Water pumps can be changed by anyone with mechanical inclination after watching some instructional videos. I replaced the water pump and a few hoses on my Chevy for under $100, and I am by no means a mechanic.

Another month gone by and I believe prices of some vehicles have actually bumped up a bit. Not confident this waiting around strategy is paying off.

Alot of prices will go down when folks start saying "screw you, i aint paying that." I believe a spending frenzy is what is driving most of it. I believe we are nearing the end of it. The high prices have caught up with the lower income folks already. Theres already a rise in "wants" being sold to meet "needs". I figure by the end of this year we are going to see a real change in peoples attitudes about spending. I believe food prices will really go up big by the end of this year. Yes, i know its going up steadily but im talking about a jump in prices. I have a feeling were on the edge of something pretty bad for those who have done nothing to prepare. After it happens, there should be some sharp drops in prices.

He was wrong. He told me last week they now say mid 2024 before chip shortage is over. I'm done waiting and I'm buying as soon as I find what I'm looking for.

I’d bet a crashing economy will bring them down before then

If we will all just go by a dealership for 15 min once a week and say phuck that to whatever number the salesman throws out, they’ll talk to each other and sense a trend lol

I went by a local dealership last week to place an order for my wife a new Yukon. Said we would be number 96 in line with a year wait to get it.

Like house prices, they will come down eventually with this looming recession.

. It isn't just the automakers fault on these prices, supply and demand is a culprit too. Used vehicles are out the roof too at the dealers, small local yocals and at auctions (man, it is something at an auction right now how prices are right there with what I feel are "new car" prices." I don't see any let up for at least 2-3 years on any of this even if chips started shipping today. China is a very evil empire that has our supplies at their mercy, how we didn't see it as a country years ago is beyond me, I guess we were too busy trying to bust up the Japanese menace and took what we could get.

We wanted cheaper, we got it. We wanted more products, we got it. All manufactured by cheap labor, forced labor, and a communist party that is in it for the long haul on bringing down democracy. China is still fighting the Korean War, the jumped in it to stop us, they are still trying to stop us. Russia is still fighting the Cold War, our stupid leaders can't see that.

I had a dealer tell me that “another” dealer offered them 4000.00 above MSRP for a new maverick they had in stock. Things are just this screwed up.

How in cornbread heck does anybody not drive over 10k miles a year in a truck? I am lucky to keep it under 30k a year.
