Taking the family with me up to camp this coming weekend. Got 2 little girls that are begging me to take them to see snow. Any chance I can kill 2 birds with one stone? Camp is in north Barbour County,close to Columbus,ga, but on the bama side. Mike's weather page posted a gfs snowfall prediction for this weekend that showed our area up there getting close to 5" but I'm not seeing it on the local forecasts. What do the aldeer weather experts say??

I think it was in the early forecast , but it’s been moved out. I think there is still a chance of some flurries for Friday in your area.

I believe your best bet is gone be further north like say gatlinburg

Handpicking one model run out of 100’s is how some sites get clicks. And it may very well snow, you never know.

I would think 5" would be a stretch for this area. If it snows any around this area it usually snows in Auburn for some reason. Does your daughter just want to see flurries and light dusting might be a good chance of that. We had flurries last weekend on Sunday. It didn't stick. Further North around Auburn it did stick a little I think.

I’ve lived in the northern half of Bama and MS my whole life and I’ve see that much snow maybe twice.
