Anybody had a hard time getting their meds lately? Just wondering. It would seem, since there are shortages of everything else, there would be shortages of meds too. Im not talking about the meds the nazis are keeping from us. Im talking about every day meds people have been taking all along

Daughter works in pharmacy, says some days the order is short and they have some meds run out. Usually get it in next day or two.

Just stroll through the otc medicine isle at about any store and the pickings are slim. I went to go get some Tums the other day and yes they had Tums but every other slot for basic household meds around it were empty.

Havent noticed any significant shortages that lasted very long. I think what has caused a few of them is just a major increase in the amount a particular drug is prescribed and the supply chain wasn’t ready for it. I have been surprised thru this whole ordeal that more problems haven't come up. So far so good.

I was thinking more prescription drug side. Now as Skinny stated above, OTC stuff has been a different story.

The only drug that is in short supply right now, that I’m aware of, is Losartan. I do not know why it is unavailable but we have been getting folks changed to another drug in the same class, Olmesartan. OTC goods have been hard to get for a while now.

Exactly, my neighbors cousin’s uncle, who is a plumber, said so.

I just find it interesting that the drug companies are not experiencing shortages but almost everyone else is. Might not mean anything, who knows.

I think it’s stupid that our government lets these companies produce medicine in China and Mexico.

Pharma companies are subsidized by the taxpayers and American workers , so they should at least employ Americans.

If we ever had a war and China was involved , be a lot of people dying because they couldn’t get medicine.

MorningAir, we are at war right now and i would say china is heavily involved, seeing as how theyve already used biological weapons on us and took over the white house.

I purchase supplies and meds for the cardiologist office and in office cath lab. I have several meds and supplies on backorder, dipyridamole for stress tests, prefilled epinephrine for crash carts, IV labetalol, surgical gloves, IV sets, etc. It's like being a detective trying to find supplies these days. Hospitals get first dibs on stuff too that comes off backorder.

China relies on the US to buy their cheap goods. A war with the US, and subsequent loss of that revenue, would hurt them too much financially. Roughly 22% of Chinas GDP are exports to North America. What they are doing however is creating a massive trade deficit that makes it impossible to not trade with them. In other words they have us by the balls and they know it. We are their cash cow unfortunately.

They will eventually invade Taiwan knowing that A: we have a WEAK president and B: we won’t do much about it because we NEED their products and can’t afford a trade embargo. They have a created a situation in which the US will sit on their hands and let China get away with things that we normally wouldn’t allow because we can’t afford to stop them.

This is why Trumps trade practices were so important. He was moving towards reducing that trade imbalance. And as we all know, Biden came in and put a stop to that. Of course I’m sure he was compensated but the bastard sold our country out.
