On Oct 5 up here in N AL. Harvest from here on is gonna be a train wreck. If there’s a crop left after all this. We’re taking flooding in places that usually don’t. The good lord giveth and the good lord can take it away. Crazy how fast we are going backwards

Same way down here in LA. Patsaliga has been out of the banks a couple of times this summer. My place is as wet now as it usually is in January.

Blessed is the name of the Lord. Everything seldom goes right. I know you well enough to know the Lord has been real good to you. If youre not able to harvest one bean or bowl of cotton, you are still blessed. I hate youre going through it and i hope it turns around pretty quick.

Ain’t no doubt Jwalker. We all know too well it’s out of our hands but we don’t give up. Give us a few weeks of dry air and cool dats and well get back on track. It’s the idle time that drives us nuts

That’s what she said when I lit a couple candles and told her the McRib sandwiches were on the dining room table.

I remember a few years ago around Christmas when it was way way worse than this. There were dirt roads in dadeville under 4 feet of water. This is bad but nothing like the rain we had that week.

I don't remember it being this wet at this time of year either, without some tropical event coming in. I'd guess there's still 90% of the corn crop in this county still in the field. I sure don't ever remember that before.

Our bermuda pastures are still as green as they were in June too. That's a first un.

Looks like some dry wather ahead for next week.

Seems like I heard we'd already reached or avg rainfall numbers for the year last month...I can't find that data but seems reasonable...

My place was dry for about 5 days in Aug. Just long enough to lime, disk and enlarge couple plots and duck hole. It’s as wet right now as it normally is in Jan. Hope I’ll get to plant in couple weeks.

My yard is greener than it has been all year.
Our corn is soggy but the green fields are coming along faster
than ever.

Duck hole should be full of water

Yep crossing sandy creek on the hwy 49 bridge looked like class V rapids.

It’s crazy how wet it is for the time of the year it is. Been wet most of the year it seems. Folks have already cut their winter time dry ground tracts and looking for more. And it’s not even Halloween. Every week you hear about more loggers goin out of business or quitting.
