Republicans are great at stuff like that when they are out of power and are sure there isn't a chance of it going anywhere. I've seen better circus acts at elementary school fund raising events. Showboating pure and simple. Shuffle to the left, shuffle to the right, little tap dance then bow and go sit down in the back row while patting yourself on the back while the parents politely applaud.

Aldeer coming with the Defund The ATF Movement.  Some of the finest people I know and staunchest supporters for the 2nd Amendment are ATF agent. I also know some that would poke a stick in their mother's eye if they thought it would get the attention of Washington. The top is where any problem we have with the ATF comes from, just like the FBI. To advance you have to be political, which means choosing sides. Rep. or Dem. That is why the finest in that organization don't advance much past Field agent. That is usually by their choice too.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

But the problem is these guys follow the directives of their superiors. History is rife with examples of the " I was following orders" defense. They will implement the policies of the political appointees. Always have.
