The number one reason folks miss with a shotgun is they raise their cheek off the stock. I remember missing a buck when I was a kid and damn near getting physically sick over it. That's how a turkey miss feels at 48 lol.

A miss is a enormous kick in the nutts
What General said happens lot - watch the show - get excited and forget to get your cheek down on the stock - May line up the bead but it will not matter if check not down on stock - also sucks when u get them 15 yards r tighter - super tight pattern

I started turkey hunting 5 years ago and only killed a couple, one Jake and one 12 incher, but I missed a really long beard at 12 steps and that eats me alive to this day its about like missing a good buck

I missed one last year that really got to me. I had worked him for several hours. Best gobbling bird is ever hunted. He would close to just close enough I could see him and then leave. I would go quiet and he would close again then leave again. I'd move and he would close again only to leave again. Must have done this a dozen times. Finally got a good spot where I got a good shot on him at 40 and didn't notice the smallish dead tree laying horizontal right at barrel level at about 10 yards. Couldn't see it in the red dot, but I put the whole load into it and the bird flew away never to be seen again. I kicked rocks all the way back to the truck.
What you do today, you have to sleep with tonight.
