Deer die of all sorts of diseases. Nature is hell. But they typically don’t end up in a pond. 1 ok easy to chalk it up. 2? For someone to poach in this property and shoot 2 deer that both ultimately end up in there, I’m just doubtful of that considering location on property, proximity to roads, number of cell cameras and how often we are in property.

That’s exactly the same thing I’m thinking…….One deer, ok we’ll say there’s the possibility the deer just went their to die on its own……Two deer, a doe and its little one…….Something else is at play…..The chances that both deer were just sick or injured or whatever is not likely……I figure something was wrong with the big doe…..There’s a number of things that could have happened……Hit by a car, sick and weak, possibly a second cycle doe that had been run ragged by a bunch of bucks or hurt in the process, etc……There can by a myriad of reasons that slows them down and gets them targeted by the yotes. I wonder is she is missing a bunch of hair on her butt or shows any signs of them attacking her?

Come on and check the butt hair if you want. Bring a fishing pole. 😂 I know one thing it’s just strange. The lake thing is very, very common to see for us blood tracking......This is another one that jumped, ran 600-700 yards and bailed off into the lake. He got to the other side and that was all he had left in him.....I think he was actually stuck in the mud but he still jumped and ran another 60 yards after the hunter stuck him with a finishing shot....

We have a 26 acre pond at the camp. Came up here Friday and found a dead deer by the dam floating in the water. Real small doe it looks like, didn't notice any wounds on it, but I didn't drag it out and inspect it. Thought it was kinda odd, but otherwise didn't think much of it. Had some guys out here fishing and they said there is another dead deer in the water at the opposite end of the pond. What in the heck would be the explanation for that?? Not sure but 26 acres is a fine sized pond and if you ever need anyone to fish it just holler.
