Putting Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill has been in the works for some time. The Trump administration had stalled the change over. Biden just reversed the stall.

. Washington had slaves, are they going to put Obama on that? I say we replace Abraham Lincoln on the penny and put Obama if they want him on something, a penny is going the way of the dinosaur anyway, except for penny stock. Anybody got any of the new Harris Biden toilet paper?

If they are bound and determined to put a Black person on a bill there are few, if any, that deserve it more than Harriet Tubman.

I was about to mention Washington. I wouldn't be surprised that by 2024 all of our currency had a black face on it.

I guess then we'd probably feel like black people do now......While I dont want to see our whole heritage buried and replaced......we are no longer a nation of white people. It only makes sense that as the nation becomes more diverse over time that the diversity is represented in different aspects of society like this......Also, just like Jawbone said......at least they are picking someone who deserves it. I dont see a reason to be "angry" about it

If we are going to proportionately represent cultural diversity in monetary terms, there are there are 12 common denominations of currency currently in circulation. 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 bills along with 1, 5, 10 , 25, 50, and $1 coins. Pick one and put a black face on it. That way their proportionate share of the population is represented proportionately in monetary terms. Now lets move on to the next "supposed racial injustice" and be done with all this BS. Social justice and the cry for racial equality has gone far beyond ridiculous. Heck, we had a black president for 8 years. Blacks are present in upper management in all job fields. Fact is, if you are smart, work hard and are black, the climb to the top is a whole lot easier for a black man and especially a black woman than it is for any white. Your education is free and every major company in the US is looking to promote blacks as quickly as possible. In many professional areas, we are now seeing what I like to refer to as "reverse discrimination".

I agree.......also, everyone could just chill out a little.......Everyone is always enraged about something on both sides......Emotions need to be tempered a little......Some of this is justified and some of it aint.....I think this one is ok myself.

. I myself am not enraged, it is more about everything that is going on to try to usurp our past and history. Has anyone read a high school or college history book lately? Look at monuments being torn down, books being banned in public schools, free speech (conservatives) being banned on social media, it isn't emotions it is wondering where it will stop.

Yep. Whites are still 3/4 of the population. I'm all for proportional representation but 90% of the music at football games is rap, 50% of the characters on commercials and TV are black. Where's the outrage?
