The amount of force it would take to get those things out of their is unbelievable. The sheer weight of the machines is bad enough but that would be greatly multiplied by the suction of the mud and earth holding it back. An old piece of equipment could probably be salvageable but with all the electronics on them now, they babies are probably done for.

That kind of stuff makes me sick at my stomach.
I almost lost my brothers truck and boat in the river one time. As close as you can come, everything in the bed floated out in the river. It was a makeshift ramp with a terrible angle. Only thing saved me was the hubs were already locked in.
I guess that’s what insurance is for, but dang!

Amateurs. I saw a 70 year old build a levee around a slough that everyone in an Arkansas ditch commission said was impossible. Just laid down timbers and kept going.

There is a difference between and operator and someone that runs equipment.

I once knew a logger that’d tear up every piece of equipment he had if you said he couldn’t do something. You ain’t seen nothing til you’ve seen a skidder take out an old pier. He pulled a tree planter with a tractor then hooked his truck to it and then a JD750 dozer. He got those tree planted in that wet ground

They just haven't tried a K5 yet. Those Goodyear MTRs and a tired 305 would have them out without even breaking a sweat. laugh
