We have a Select Comfort , that's what they were called before Sleep Number . We've had it 20 years or more probably. It had a 10 year warranty , my side chamber leaked at about 9.5 years , they sent me a new one , no charge. I'll replace it with another one if we ever have another air leak.

We have a sleep number king size. Don't remember the model, but it's been great for about 3 or 4 years

Like 2Dogs I had a Select Comfort. Bought it before they had stores or were sold in stores. I've never slept good and bought it in hopes that it would help me sleep. It was a good bed, but started leaking and I had to inflate it every night before bed. I replaced it with a memory foam mattress and prefer it over the old Select Comfort/Sleep Number bed. I went from a spring mattress to the SC and that was an incredible change. No more pressure points, no hard spots, etc... When I tried the memory foam vs the air bed there was no difference in comfort. We bought a Bed Boss Visco Heir Elite. They are, or at least use to be sold at some Chiropractors offices. We went to Huntsville so I could lay on one before we bought it. They may or may not still do that, because I know they're sold online now. It's very comfortable to sleep on, it's not hot in the summer, and it cost a WHOLE lot less. We've had it 7-8 years at least and it's held up great.

We have a king size sleep number that’s going on 8 yrs old. I absolutely love it and would buy another tomorrow if I needed another mattress. Ours was kinda the middle-of-the-road model. It doesn’t have the adjustable base or lighting underneath. Just the adjustable firmness for each side. They run a sale a couple times a year where they’re like half off. We bought during one of those and it wasn’t ridiculously expensive.

I see you are in Pike County, make a drive up toward Birmingham, Pelham/Alabaster to be exact. Go to Royal Bedding. They build their mattresses, plus they have some that go on an adjustable frame that is amazing. Really good christian people, it will be worth your drive. They do have a website, and are happy to take a phone call and talk you through their process. You will still need to go up and lay on them. My wife and I went with the split king, that way she can have her soft bed and I get my hard side. (something just doesn't sound right about that)

Don't drop a lot of cash. Get an inexpensive air bed. Fight through all the name brand marketing, and you will find them. I've had 2 for years. Air is the best. And most versatile. I'm talking about one which comes with a nice mattress cover, and foam "rails" which surround it. One of mine came from Wallyworld, but they don't handle them now. I bought 2 of the king length twin air mattresses and put them on our king frame. Then put a 3" king memory foam pad over it. My wife aired her side up all the way, and I stopped mine at about 75%. Cost about $300

Let me get to the straight of this. Play time with momma is much better on a memory foam than an air bed. It's much quieter too for those "the kids are still awake" moments. That's all that really matters.

I'm not advocating, I'm just saying. I had an aunt that started her kids on wine while they were still on the bottle.

I can get a good toe hold in that memory foam for extra traction.
