LOLOLOLOL!!!! I've had 4x4 and 2x4 stuff with mudders (still do now) but it's really a pain on the daily driver unless it spends more hours in the goop than the pavement. My old truck has some on it but they came with the wheels. It'll probably keep mudders as I only use it in the woods or to pick up some lumber/brick/etc.

They're not much better than just street tires on a 4x4 unless it's slick. Pita to deal with noise, terrible handling, short lifespan and weird tread wear on the pavement.

I'm not wanting to stay away from Nitto/Toyo so much as I'm wanting to stay away from a $1400 set of tires...

20" tires are expensive.

One more vote for the Nitto Ridge Grappler or Trail Grappler M/T

Another option is the Mickey Thompson ATZ or their MTZ if you want Ăźber aggressive

Cooper AT3’s. They’ve outperformed BFG and Toyos that my buddies have had and have matched the Nittos

Get you a set of Toyo Rt's and you'll be happy. They aren't a true mud tire by the classic definition but they do very well for a multi purpose rig. I have over 30k miles on mine on a 2007 F250. Normal rotation and they are wearing fine. All of those downfalls you speak of on cheap mud tires don't apply to these tires. Nor the others I posted above. Cheap (<$200 ea) mud tires are best left for beaters only.

Good luck with not spending a lot with 20'" tires.. The prices are ridiculous.

This would be my recommendation. I did a ton of research before I bought tires a few months ago and ended up purchasing a set of these. They ride great, look great and handle well of road. In the size you want they’ll cost you around $200 a tire.

I have some experience with the wild peak mt's. Very nice product. I personally run Nitto Ridge grapplers and won't have anything else. Got 67000 out of 1dt set and sold on market place in 24hrs for 500dollars because they had a lot of tread left. They are a hybrid treas. Center is AT with heavier lugs on the side but, they are pricey.

I don’t buy cheap tires, done it once and haven’t done it since,I’ve got toyo mts on my Silverado right now, they have 20,000 miles on them and still have probably 70% tread left plus they ride good,I should get over 50k out of them for sure
