I finished my last round today and they pulled the pic lines out of my right arm. So now I should be able to return to somewhat normal use with it. They had me on 5 lbs max as long as the line was in. Now I have 9 more radiation treatments left. I know it isn’t a lot but the radiation has taken its toll on me. My tongue and mouth are ulcered and sored up. Can’t eat anything by mouth any longer it’s straight feeding tube. They call it formula for a reason the first feeding that flushed its way through my system reminded me I hadn’t smelled that smell since my son was in diapers. So far so good no close calls with farts. Because once you open the flood gate there isn’t replacing the plug it has to run its course. I just wanted to thank everyone for all the prayers. My radiation doc was predicting all of this after week 2 not six. So that was a month I picked up with mild pain. Now I’m on a 72 hour fentanyl patch combined with 1 1/2 hydrocodon every 4 hours to keep it what they consider manageable pain. I did catch a break my chemo doc gave me a sample of stuff that you gargle and swallow that seems to be helping coat the sores. Only thing an8 oz bottle is 600 hundred bucks. And no insurance pays anything on it. I don’t understand how it can sell that expensive most people can’t afford 600 a month. And it has to be ordered direct from the pharmaceutical company.

Hang in there! Still sending prayers every day.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

So sorry to hear of continued struggle. You made it past one stage, keep plugging. Prayers for strength and that pain is minimized!

That’s exactly the way I’m taking it one day at a time. I will say the wife and I went to the in-laws for the Labor Day cook out. Those were some of the best looking steaks I’ve ever seen lol.

And I will say one other thing on it. They drew blood for blood work again today. It came back good blood counts. They are amazed at that 5 treatments in and no tanking on the blood counts. I contribute that to all the prayers also.

There are grants out there and foundations that help you qualify like I told you earlier. You don’t have to foot the bill maybe at all. Google it up and find one. There are dozens if not hundreds of foundations that have money to help you. Get on the internet and star looking and asking.

I am facing something over the next couple of months where I won’t be much help to anyone, but just ask your pharmacist or your doctors about these foundations. It’s no secret and you can Google up dozens on your first try.

Continued prayers. If you get in a bind for money for treatment give us a yell. Members can each pitch a few dollars your way.

The doc did give me some paperwork to feel out from the pharmaceutical company that I could fill out and try. But he said he has never had anyone get approved. So I didn’t bother with it.

Pot may be your best friend...... If it help, use it. It is less dangerous that the cocktail of chemicals that they want to filler your body with.

It’s greatly appreciated man. But the old BCBS that I have cussed in the past and will continue to in the future. I’ve met the yearly payout between it and the secondary insurance. Which has never happened to my family anytime before. So I’m good until the end of the year. Thanks again I tell you someone that needs our prayers and possibly help is shorts brother. Maybe we can make that offer to him for his brother. A younger man with young children.
