That's not really what he said, at least not in that article. He almost kinda dodged the question.

Is racism still a thing? Yes, of course it is. And it will ALWAYS be a thing, and not just here, but everywhere. It's just not a thing to the extent that some of these groups want you to believe it is. Now, it does sound like maybe he's bought into the idea that it's worse than it really is, statistically speaking, which is disappointing, but nothing in that article suggested that he supports the organization "Black Lives Matter".

Who cares what this guy says? He's obviously made his millions and can say whatever he wants without fear of what it does to his career. I couldn't tell ya a song he sings and his opinion matters none to me. BLM is a terrorist group hiding behind an imaginary movement. Wake up people.

I read the article and its vague. I ain't making no assumptions until a see a video of the interview.

Gomer is right. He did not answer the question he was asked. "The question was do you support Black Live Matter?"
His response was "Do I think black lives matter?...Absolutely I do."

Chris Stapleton appeared on “CBS This Morning” and enthusiastically endorses Black Lives Matter, and seemingly attacks America as a ‘myth.’
That seems pretty clear to me. What am I missing?

EDIT: I just went back and watched the interview.......the interviewer tried to get him to say he supported the group BLM, he dodged it and said "Do I think black lives matter? Of course I do". That's a night/day difference from saying you support the Marxist organization BLM. This is yet another case where the interviewer/writer/media try to twist someone's words into saying something they never actually said.

He basically made 2 points in that interview:

1. he had been living in a world we he thought everything was fine and now he realizes that was a "myth" and that in reality, we all can do better. And we can. Each and every person could improve how they treat others around them. If you are a Christian and you disagree with that, then you probably need to go back and re-read some scripture. We should all be striving, every day, to be more Christ-like.

2. he believes that black lives do, in fact, matter.................this does NOT mean he supports the Marxist organization BLM, it just means an interviewer tried to twist his words to fit their narrative.

Again, not really what he said....that was misquoted and taken out of context. The context was that he thought he was living in a country where racism didn't exist or wasn't an issue, and now he realizes that was a "myth". And it is....racism does and always WILL exist. It doesn't exist to the extent many believe it does, but it's there and we should always work to fight it and improve. So yes, to someone that thought it was gone and non-existent, that would be a myth.

And by the way, you know what the right answer is if you have a set of balls on you - "Sure, black lives matter and I also believe all lives matter, now let's talk about my album". But no, he took the pandering chicken chit answer and kept feeding right into the stupid reporters bullcrap.

B. When you actually watch the interview and take his answer into context, he's not "America-bashing". He's saying he thought for a long time we lived in a country where racism is a thing of the past and now realizes that was a myth. And it is. Racism isn't a thing of the past, it will ALWAYS be present to some extent, not just here but everywhere. That doesn't mean we shouldn't work to fight it....

Nothing about what he said was "anti-America" or pro-BLM (the organization). If you think it was either of those things, you're letting a liberal media brainwash you. Congrats, you let them win.
