To stay warm, I spend good money on what you can't see ( base layers, mid layers, sock liners, fleece head cover). I got all the outer wear I'll ever need and take care of it so probably wont need to replace it.

Im looking for some for the low teen range.

I wear the Cabelas Whitetail Extreme bibs and jacket in Illinois and have stayed warm and dry in the wind and snow. Not cheap, but not overly expensive either.

The best time to buy sitka is around May. They'll put alot on sale then before the next years stuff comes out.

Best thing I’ve found to ward off the nip of cold is coffee. I started taking a thermos of coffee with me when it gets cold. That works the best for me.

For anything in the teens, I use Under Armour cold gear next to skin, a medium weight Cabelas ECW top and bottom and then fleec leggings /fleece hoodie . Walk in, put on my insulated fleece bibs , fleece watchcap and get in stand

I guess it could get really cold in Illinois in November but I know that a lot of times on the opener of Duck Season I am sitting relatively close to the Southern Tip of IL, just about an hour South. Been T-shirt weather more times than real cold. Honestly can't remember it being super cold but been plenty of Windy days. I would be thinking more towards a good mid-weight Windproof setup.

The best cold weather stuff is Hydro Fleece. Best ever made. The best Camo is brown. Ask a deer if you don't believe me.

I have a Sitka Jacket and bibs got off of eBay used , never could bring me self to buy them new. They are super nice have been impressed with them. That being said I have a pair of the Browning hydro fleece from the mid late 90’s I still wear mostly

Thanks, I wear do similar. But I have never worn sock liners and do have issues with cold feet. So i was curious what to go with.

Any Nylon/wicking fabric works. Make sure the outer sock will hold the moisture away from your feet or they will just stay cold. I usually put toasty toes on but wear them on top not bottom. Camera guys I use to work with were cold blooded like me and they wore theirs on top. Worked for me better that way.

There are a lot of days in early November that are upper 40s-low 50 temps with lows around freezing. But, if it’s a good cold front coming through, that wind can be brutal. I layer up with UA cold gear, then fleece, then Drake windproof layers, and fleece Scent Lok over that. I’ve hunted in rain/snow mix with wind blowing 20+ mph and it has kept me cozy.

Mobile Al,
That Sitka Fanatic does nothing for the moisture or damp wet conditions. That stuff soaks up water like a sponge!!!

I am in IN about an hour south of Indianapolis. Usually in November it will be just 2 or 3 shirts and pants weather up here in my area.

Look into the First Lite stuff. I liked it better than sitka personally.

I agree with Foldemup. Sitka Gear for sure. Their stuff is really well thought out.

If they fit me better, the Macks Prairie Wings WindTamer Jackets would be the best all around jackets I own, and I have two of them. I say this as one who wears all Sitka outer layers (I have non-hunting brands for baselayers because I'm not paying an extra $40-50 for my long johns to be camo). For me personally, I think layers are very important but if those layers let in the wind, I'm cold.
From what I understand--and I could be wrong--the Sitka fanatic line is the only one in their whitetail line that is windproof. And if anyone decides they want a good deal on a XXL fanatic vest worn for about 4 hours total, I got one to sell.

Better plan for the worst case scenario. I have seen 5 degrees with minus 5 wind chill factor. That's a tough sit with the wind that never stops blowing. Under armour cold gear with artic shield got me through it. Good luck!
