this mask thing is now a political statement. Wearing masks is just like drinking coffee. One test shows it will kill you another that its good for you. I will wear a mask where I want and when I want.

Is there anything in the Constitution that he is basing this off of? My guess is the current supreme court could probably find something to make it legal. There is nothing in the constitution to make it illegal.

I don’t say I agree with him. I’m just pointing out that people love to say their “constitutional rights” are being violated when they have no idea what the constitution says. It's illegal and unconstitutional for governors (or any single political position) to make or change laws. With exception only to the Presidential executive order, no individual has any authority to impose a rule of law.

The Alabama Code gives teh governor the ability to make executive orders that carry the weight of law during times of a state of emergency.
