Wall phone with a cord. You were living high up if you had a cord that could stretch to the other room.

Our local barber shop used to have one. I think coke was a nickle back then.
Open that little skinny door and snatch out a frozen glass bottle coke.
Damn that was good on a hot day.

Deposit on coke bottles that left the premises unless you brought an empty with you

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Cigarette vending machines.

Ok, I’m too young to have seen them work but I have seen old ones in country stores.

4X4 pickup trucks were for farmers and rednecks and not doctors and lawyers?

And like good coffee, the gas was leaded.

Pulling cokes. Who ever had the one with the bottling plant farthest away won.

You mean back when a belt was for more than just holding pants up and a switch had nothing to do with electricity other than lightin’ your ass up

I've got one of those machines on my back porch. Keeps cokes teeth busting cold too. The coin mechanism doesn't work but I'm good with that.

Cars & pick-ups had points, & plugs that needed changing every 30,000 miles or so. They ran better when you set the timing by ear, rather than a light. AND everybody knew how to change a tire?

Listening to WLS at night. Especially Friday and Saturday night when Wolfman Jack was DJ-ing the Midnight Special. GOOD times!!

There was another nighttime radio station but I can't remember it right now. Seems like it was out of Nawlens.

Getting a Marlin 39A when I was 6 years old. Had probably already shot 50,000 rounds by then so it wasn't a big deal.

Karen and Chad would try to have you in jail if you tried that today.
