It really makes me wonder if some of the big name coaches, Saban included, will take this as an omen as time to hang it up. Schooling and school sports may be about to change forever.

A couple of the guys that work here have kids that are students at Bama. They are not seeing the humor in the way this decision is being made the week after they wrote big checks to the school. They also aren't seeing the humor in the school requiring freshmen to live on campus, even if they go to virtual classes. In one's words, the school is in the real estate business.

Completely agree - I was talking with a friend last week and told him that I hoped every single college and pro sport would shutdown permanently. I’ve had it with their entitled asses.

Not a popular opinion on here but to tell the truth iam gonna miss my football saturdays, meat on the pit, smoked beans, sweet tea and eli on the radio as i sit on the porch smelling the smoker,
I know all the BLM stuff screw it, but boy i loved friday night football then saturday football, sunday church and then a braves game before having to start work again on monday

I was looking forward to watching how Lane Kiffin and Mike Leach would do as head coaches in the SEC. Maybe next year if they are hanging around.

I'm going to miss it terribly. I LOVE college football specifically them Auburn Tigers. Been a season ticket holder for years and my son has a white tent tailgate setup through his business. Fall has always been my favorite time of year, temps start dropping, deer season is close and college football.

It seems like college presidents knew this was the plan all along but wanted to wait until students returned to campus so they'd get their tuition, room and board, dining plans, etc. Looks like they fooled people into thinking things were normal and now that parents have moved their kids into the dorms and tuition money was received they've decided it's no longer "safe" for college football.

Latest rumblings is it is still as it was last week...big 10 and pack 12 vs. SEC, ACC, and BIG 12. There's even reports of the SEC backtracking on conference only, and trying to add games from the other 2 conferences

Big 10 will fold the cards on Tuesday.
