ER doctor here that has treated and intubated many covid patients. Start taking 5,000IU of vitamin D daily and 2gm vitamin C three times daily in addition to what you mentioned. Stay hydrated and outside when possible. Additionally eat clean for the next few weeks. You may need to explain what you mean by "eat clean" for those who do not understand what you mean.

Avoid alcohol and things with added sugar. Covid-19 is triggering what many of us believe to essentially be a bad vasculitis primarily with lung involvement but also with kidney, pancreas, liver, and cardiac involvement as well. Mine and several of my colleagues see and anticipate a shift in early treatment of at risk patients who test positive to also include a course of steroids, prophylactic dose eliquis (a blood thinner) along with the high dose vitamin regimen including the zinc. The whole idea is too prevent or blunt the inflammatory cascade that we are seeing develop in patients primarily between day 8-10 of when they became symptomatic. Most hospitals are beginning to standardize their treatment approaches, however in my opinion the earlier the inpatient treatment regimens (remdesivir, plasma, tocilizumab) are initiated on patients that become admitted or begin developing the pulmonary symptoms the better the outcomes we will see with those patients.

Fascinating. Thank you.
