Feeding little over 2 quarts a day , according to goggle this is around 139 birds, Have 7 quart feeders and it looks like a international airport, fun to watch , I have come to the conclusion there not fighting just like to aggravate the piss out of each other.

I have 5 feeders on my wrap around porch, they have to be refilled every other day. I've noticed they will pick a favorite spot and I will put the biggest feeder there to even out the feed rate. They seem to be used to my presence and will even come right up to me within a few feet and just hover there when a feeder is empty. If you put up a mist nozzle around the feeders, they really get crazy acting, same when it rains. Maybe a little extreme, but my family enjoys watching them and look forward to them coming every year.

We are covered up, feeding close to a gallon a day. See as many as 15-20 at a time time. It's pretty cheap entertainment as far as I'm concerned and my wife keeps up with the feeders, so all I have to do is enjoy the show

Wifey reported seeing a few earlier this week which are the first of the year for us. Its become a past time for us to just hang out & watch em do their thing.

That's amazing. I only have a few currently with one feeder but they don't go through 1/2 cup in a week. But my garden is used heavily by them. Gingers, pickerel weed, firebush and plumbago as well as hibiscus varieties abound. It won't be long and my firespikes will be in full bloom and the hummers will fight over those.
