From what I've read it certainly merits some investigation at least, but if they aren't going to do anything about the Clinton Foundation that was doing the same thing and more than the allegations against the NRA, why waste the time and money?

From what I've read it certainly merits some investigation at least. From what I just heard them describing in the press conference, LaPierre was definitely abusing his power and use of funds. But I thought we already knew that he was a turd, NRA tried to oust him a year or two back but failed. Wonder why though if it was so large a deal, why only NY State went after him and not the Feds? As far as I'm concerned getting him and his cronies out of there will probably be the best thing that could happen to the NRA.

They are probably Incorporated in NY is why they are going after them, but we know the real reason. So it is successful and they disband the NRA and get rid of LaPierre, what is the new name going to be? I'll join if they get rid of the NRA's problems and put me on their No Call list.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Pro 2A vs Anti 2A. NY's so called leaders are definitely Anti 2A, they're not gonna eat their own.

NRA certainly needs to be reformed with all new leadership from top to bottom. Starting with an all new board of directors.
However, it is insane that they have remained incorporated in the State of New York for so long knowing that the political forces there are so hostile.
They need to immediately go through a corporate/non profit reorganization where they are bought out (so to speak) from a similarly named non profit in a more friendly conservative pro 2nd Amendment State.
If they try to stay in New York they will get bushwhacked.

NRA is based out of Virginia. How does someone in NY have standing to do this?
I love my country, but don't trust my government.

They are suing in order to “dissolve” (as reported on FM 99.5 in Birmingham) the NRA. Democrats will always work to destroy their opposition if they can’t beat them. And they work with “cuts of a thousand lashes.” The Governor of NY is a very progressive socialist and the Mayor of NYC is a communist (raised in a communist family and fell in love with communism as a young man in Nicaragua). Recent conservative news articles explained the mayors upbringing and training. The state AG is aiming always at Trump as the other 2 are as well.
And by suing perhaps they are working to divide and loosen overall support for the NRA. While one hand is showing be sure to look to see what the other hand may be doing....especially with all Democrats. They are very persistent.

Looks like they're going after NRA, mostly LaPierre for misusing funds for travel and other luxury stuff. Why not start with the Clinton Foundation and work out from there. 90% of the funds entering the CF never made it to charitable causes. It was a slush fund for them and their croonies. Start there then feel free to branch out and look at the NRA, salvation army, and all other "charitable groups" and 501C3's.

NRA is based out of Virginia. How does someone in NY have standing to do this? They are incorporated/chartered out of the State of New York. That is the State of formation of the organization. Therefore they are under New York law for purposes of such organizations.

We need the NRA. We need their voice for the 2A. We need all the voices we can get. We also need to reform the organization and cut out the graft and corruption. Wayne needs to go. Now.

H Maybe this will be the best thing if we can get rid of Wayne and his cronies and the NRA is stronger on the other side.

That democrat AG just sold ALL the pre-manufactured ammo for the next 2 years and 95% of all firearms.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I am a staunch conservative and 2A supporter; but let my NRA membership go some time ago. I lost faith in them as a caretaker of our donations and got tired of the constant marketing crap; which I still receive. Just got a notice from them which said " Gun Confiscation Notice" on the envelope. No different from getting some scam email telling me my house is being foreclosed for tax reasons; far as I am concerned. I am having to re-think my membership at my shooting club because they REQUIRE you to be a NRA member and upload a copy of your current membershiop card. Too bad; its a nice club. You a member at Brock's Gap too, huh?
