That it needed to be turned into ANFO and detonated with a shock wave from a high explosive (blasting cap, etc) in order to set it off. I didn’t think ANFO could even be set off with fire. I think there’s more to this than just a bunch of fertilizer sitting around and blowing up after a fire.

Baking soda is NaHCO3. If you heat it you make CO2, that it what makes your cake fluffy in the oven.
