Its full blown train wreck. Might as well get your kids homeschooling room or space up and running this week or next.

A LOT of kids are just not gonna do anything on the remote schooling Period.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Well I did give it 2 weeks but that may not even happen..

I wouldnt get too excited about any plans the schools have made just yet. They are all likely to be shut down pretty quick after opening. At that point, everybody will be in the same boat. Theyve had since march to come up with a plan and theyre not much closer to a good plan than they were then. Looks to me like in most cases its time to go back now, so they just threw something together. No consistency whatsoever. Schools just a few miles apart doing completely different things. Might be one of the biggest clusters in the history of the state. Six weeks from now, everything will have changed. No need in getting all worked up.

I'm not worked up jwalker. I'm just trying to figure out how I'm gonna edumacate my grandkids since they ain't gonna be in school.
Also, your post reminds me of the Republican fiasco when they controlled the Presidency, Senate, and House of Representatives for awhile and didn't do chit. In the spirit of trying to make you feel better about the situation: The online learning system is a good time tested system that is very easy for students to use and the stuudents learning online will retain and be able to use the information they learn online just as readily as classroom taught kids. Did that help? On the real, I ask my kids almost every day what they learned that day at school. Almost every day they say "nothing". Now I know theyre learning something, I guess they just dont realize it. Theyll learn from the online stuff too. I wouldnt worry about having to teach them yourself, just make sure they spend the required time on it. They probably wont ask you for much help and if they do, you can most likely look over it and give them a reasonable answer. Youll be ok and they will too. The schools will eventually get back to normal and yours wont be any further behind than anyone else.

We decided to go the home school route. All of our books arrived today. The kids are excited about it. I worked for a teacher at my kids school last week and she said she doesn't see how they're going to make it work.

I'm sure our taxes will be refunded so we can educate our children as we see fit since the state has failed them all.
