Fox News keeps saying homicide is up but other violent crime is down in the larger democrat run cities. They can't seem to figure out why. How can that be? This is 2020. Are they not paying attention to their own newscasts?

They did mention one major cause but failed to mention the one that should have knocked them down. It was said by one of them (and I don't remember which one) that these other crimes may be down because of so many people staying at home. Ok, I'll give them that. There won't be many burgarlies, robberies etc. if the ones that would be getting burglarized are at home.

They failed to mention all of the violent crimes that are not "really" violent crimes because the police have been told to stand down and so there are no reports filed. It's not really a violent crime to bash in windows, run inside to vandalize, loot, and threaten or assault the inhabitants inside trying to defend their property. It's not "really" a violent crime to block the interstate and then hurl bricks and try to drag the driver out of the vehicle. It's not really a violent crime to burn a Wendy's in Atlanta to the ground. I could go on but I don't think I need to.

Many police departments have been told to downplay crimes regardless of their severity to improve crime numbers for the municipality. That would account for most of the drop in numbers. Hard to downplay homicide.

That's what I'm referring to. Crime isn't really down. I'd bet it's actually significantly up. Even Fox has drank the Kool-aid.

Download the "Scanner Radio" app and listen in to Cleveland Ohio PD, Chigaco PD, Indianapolis PD, Detroit, Pittsburgh, New York City, Atlanta, Birmingham, Memphis ect. I listen at night while working and every 3 minutes you hear "Black male shots fired". Everything is up.

Y'all overthinking this. When something happens you don't call this something a crime then its obviously not one so then the numbers are down. Gotta look at it like democrats do. If a "minority" does it and is arrested and charged it's rassist so it wasn't a crime to start with. Jeesh.

The crime statistics may be for a period from back in, say, last November to last January. Statistics are never current, the people doing the findings work for the government, and have WAY too much to do to get them for a recent period. LOL

I would hazard a guess that you are correct. Fox is now owned by the kool aid producers. It's as bad as the drudge report (also now owned by the kool aid producers), almost complete garbage.
