Skin it and grill it. That's a fine meal. This Wish I would have skinned it and made a belt, it would have wrapped around me a few times but woulda been a cool belt. I stand 6'3 and that thing went from above my shoulder to the ground

You could have walked away and left him alone. You said he was staying still.
He was no threat to you. Let the flames begin, I thing it is stupid to kill every rattle snake you see.
I leave them alone unless they are around the deer camp are my house.
They have very good camo, you walk by a lot more than you see.
You have a better chance winning the power ball lotrey than getting bit by a rattle snake

well, I've never hit any lottery but I have been tagged by a big rattler...and a cottonmouth. So, well, I kill em on sight.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

It that snake would have wanted to bite demp17 he would have. All Cotton mouths and copperheads die.

Meh one less I have to worry about when me or me and my kiddo's are scouting or hunting. If we get bit where I killed that one someone is as good as dead, it's a solid 1.5 hours to Huntsville hospital and that's if your straight hauling butt...I let just about every snake have a free pass (caught 6 different ones so far this year, kings, rat, and green snakes) but Rattlers and copperheads don't get that luxury,especially ones that scare the ever living shucks out of me.
Each to their own though

There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??
