I am selling this for a friend.
For sale is a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 Regular Cab 2WD SWB Step-side Truck with 196,XXX miles on it. The truck has the 4.6 L Vortec V8 engine.
The truck was purchased brand new in 2005. It is a single owner vehicle.
The truck has a tool box, spray-in bed liner, tires have approximately 75% tread remaining and were purchased about a year ago.
The truck has been in a minor accident resulting in the replacement of the front bumper and grille. The hood also had a little damage but still functions properly. The replacement bumper is still in need of a valence/air dam.
The reason for selling the truck is the owner is needing to upgrade to something with more room for the family.
This truck would make a great first vehicle for a new driver.
The truck is located in the Wetumpka/Montgomery area and is still used daily to and from work.
Asking Price: $2,300
Please call or message me with any questions.

That is some hellacious oil pressure Unfortunately, the gauge does not read accurately. I will get a code reader on the OBD port and snap a pic of the outputs over the weekend.

Post weekend bump to the top and price drop. Asking Price: $2,100.00 Below is a picture of the only code the truck was giving. The code relates to EVAP venting circuitry issues. Usually this is the result of a bad solenoid controlling the vent within the system. Unfortunately, my OBDII reader’s live data did not provide an active oil pressure reading. The oil pressure gauge has inaccurately read high (consistently stayed pegged) for 5+ years. There are no mechanical issues, it’s merely a bad reading on the truck’s gauge. Let me know if you have any questions.

I replaced the oil sending unit and it dropped to normal for a few months then went back to being pegged. I drove it another year and replaced it again. It now reads normal.

For the new owner, a couple times my 05 GMC was throwing a "vent valve" code. Each time it was the little canister that the fuel vent line attaches to. It's under the filler neck on the outside of the frame. The part is about $30 from advance. I don't have a part #, but probably could find it if you want me to. It is caused from topping the tank off too full and letting straight gas run down the vent line. Stopped trying to get that last dollar in and haven't had it happen since.
May the sound of hounds never die!

I have the 4.6L in my 03 H2 Hummer. Sames issue with P0449 and oil pressure pegged out. Been that way for years and runs like a top
