The guy probably signed a contract back in May for a year starting in August. They will limit his teaching to introductory classes for the year and by May he will be gone because they will not renew his contract. If they fire him over his remarks and actions then he could turn around and sue on the basis of free speech but they do not have to renew his contract once it is complete. Well, that would be nice to get contracts that early. Sitting here east of you and start date is tomorrow and no contracts have been sent out yet for any faculty. Never are until July. I just got approved to go under contract to teach a couple days ago.

Who are the idiots that were conducting the interview and when it was over said WOW! THIS is the guy we have been searching for out of all the applicants. I feel great about this hire. THIS guy has what it takes and we want him to teach our young students and represent this University in a manner that makes us proud. How did the Bama fans get past security and conduct that interview? Thank you! I was thinking the same thing. 🙄🙄 Dr. B

There are many in the social sciences (and even hard ones) that would agree with his sentiments. But they are more careful in who and how they share their thoughts.
