DeWalts seem popular at the pawnshops around here. That tells me they are stolen from jobsites and contractor's. Must be professional grade.

I have several Dewalt cordless tools and they've been great.

Milwaukee M18 Fuel will serve you very well. We have them here at work and they get the snot used out of them daily and they keep on going, we hardly use any pneumatic tools anymore. We still have the first M18 4-1/2" grinder we bought about 4 years ago and it gets used daily with zero issues. When my personal shop burnt earlier this year I had alot of electric, pneumatic and Ridgid cordless tools. I bought only Milwaukee M18 tools to replace what was lost.

Dewalt or Milwaukee. I use dewalt, but they are about the same. I like the ratchet that Milwaukee has and dewalt doesn’t.

If I was primarily buying Carpentry tools, I’d buy dewalt. If I was wanting them for mechanic work, i’d go milwaukee.

I'm sure I'll catch some flack for this but I went with Ryobi.
They are never changing the battery so all tools will always work even with new batteries.
They have a ton of tools that all work on these same batteries.
The tools are a lot cheaper and work just as well to the average Joe.
The battery thing was very important as your typical homeowner won't come anywhere near burning up a tool before the battery is obsolete and then you have to upgrade everything.

If I was a professional, I would go with Milwaukee or Dewalt, and wouldn't be buying from Lowes or HD, I would go to a dealer.

That's my dilemma.....I really use them for both. They cost basically the same and it seems they are both a great set. Just going to have to pull the trigger on one I guess. I appreciate it fellas.

I've owned Dewalt for many years and it has served me well but I made the transition over to Milwaukee because of better tool options and battery. Probably will never go back...

I've used Dewalt for the last 40 years. if you can hold off Lowes always has some great sales on Dewalt around Christmas. Make sure you get the 20 Volt.soo much lighter in battery weight, than the 18 volts I had.

Yea i'm trying to know exactly what I want so I can either buy it on a labor day sale or black Friday. Figured it will save me $100 or so. That is if Trump is re-elected. If the dems cheat and put Biden's retarded ass in there then I'm holding all my cash and moving to a cave in the woods

Desalt is good, but I can’t say anything bad about Milwaukee either. Use some of both

Ryobi tools are ok but not in the same league with the original 3 mentioned.

I have used several different brands. I have burned several Dewalt drills up. I do like their corded tools. The best Cordless drills I have used Lately have been makita and Rigid

I have a long chuck that I use to drive bone pins when fixing fractures, and my old cordless crapped out. I couldn't find anything out there that would let me remove the included chuck and accept my bone pin chuck when I was trying to replace it. Called Dewalt, Makita, etc and told them what I needed, "Sorry don't have anything like that" . I called Milwaukee customer service, immediately was on the phone with a live human. I told the guy what I needed, and he said yep we have something that will work, gave me the part number from memory, and went on to explain how to remove the chuck from the drill and put mine on it. Ended up giving them my credit card on the phone, and three days later I had a cordless driver. That makes me a little partial to Milwaukee.
