Got a few friends with them from rangers to gators...only ding I’ve heard from them is slight slip going across moderate side hills....and it wasn’t enough to create any measurable pucker factor.
experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....

I have the Maxxis Big Horn 2.0 tires on my Honda Rubicon. I love them. I'll never run another tire other than these. Bought mine at Rock Mountain ATV online. Free shipping and great pricing.

I would take a look at roctane xds. they have been really good for me and are 8 ply for heavy loads. They have also been very flat resistant.

I want something more resistant to puncture from small thorns. Ranger currently has the OE Carlisle tires and both front and one rear tire have a slow leak. Tried finding leaks with soapy water and no luck. Carlisle tires are 4 ply and Bighorn is a 6 ply tire. I keep Ranger at the club and the tires are flat every time I go down there. PITA to inflate tires every time even if they have plenty of tread life left on them.
I have thought about sliming them but I've heard that will ruin the wheels.

Take a look at the kenda bear claw HTR. They are extremely tough and wear very well. Bighorns are real good too though. Check eBay for deals. Lots of options.

..I have thought about sliming them but I've heard that will ruin the wheels. I slimed a set of swamp lites on aluminum rims at around year 5 of the 10 I had them. at year 10 I got a new set put on and I had a leak I couldn't find on one. my tire guy said that the slime ate a hole in the aluminum rim...holes, actually. not sure how it affects steel rims, but it took a while on the aluminum.
