I’ll start by saying that buying a different vehicle is not an option. So buying a beloved Ford or Chevy or whatever is a no go. So we have a 2009 Nissan Armada. It has an exhaust leak around the manifold. It could be cracked or it could be a missing bolt or something much more simple. Obviously have to tear in to it to see. When that happens the worst case (need a new manifold) option is $1250. The converter is in the manifold. If it’s a bolt or seal it about $300-500 just because of labor cost. I like my shop and have used them for years. Neither option seems terribly unreasonable. What other options do I have. I’d like to maybe get a manifold without the converter and delete it if that’s possible. What do y’all have to offer?

To delete the converter u would have to plug off the sensors “ they sell a plug kit to do this “ to bypass the ecm I don’t know about Nissan but I have used them on ford and Chevy and had no issues

The OEM manifolds on those armadas and titans were awful. You’ll have to replace it eventually. Have them slap an aftermarket manifold on there. Other than that they’re great cars. That’s what he said today when I picked it up. Said it’s all one big integrated piece.
