Whenever I get bored I spread various rumors on various Facebook public land hunting pages saying that hunting has been banned from now on for whatever reason. You would be shocked at how many people take my comments seriously without fact checking my bull doodoo. I even made this flyer to post on some of the Facebook public hunting forums. This is sure to keep folks out of my spot for good. Might even have the place to myself altogether.
[Linked Image]

One step ahead of the curve, boys.

Note: I think I am legally obligated to make it clear that this is a joke, this is not a serious flyer. I made it in 10 minutes in Excel by using the snip tool and actual press releases from the Corps of Engineers website as a template. Please do not take this seriously. Or do. Hand it out to all the fair weather hunter dipsticks you would like to keep out of the woods this fall. I can probably even make up a similar flyer for specific WMA's if y'all got some spots you wanna keep people out of.

joke or not, forging Gov documents is illegal. Now whether this falsified release is considered a gov document is up to a judge I guess.

Should've known. No sense of humor here. To be clear, I've never released this to anyone without telling them it wasn't real.

Keeping folks out of your spot is easy, make them want to go somewhere else.

It's Night"Watchman" and I picked the screen name because I was a midnight dispatcher at a trucking company. I had to sit up in the top of the terminal all night and watch all the trucks on the yard to make sure none of them got stolen. Kinda lame now that I think about it though.

Turn me in if you want I guess, but at least admit that it was pretty damn convincing....Pretty funny too if you pull your head out of your butt and allow yourself to laugh at it rather than jumping on an opportunity to garner yourself a sense of self righteousness by pointing out the fact that it is a pretty dirty trick.

I doubt it is the same, but I used to work with a guy that had a photography business on the side. He had lots of expensive cameras, computers, and printers. He copied $20 bills and gave them to folks at work, making sure that the recipient knew it was fake. They were stuck to toolboxes all over the plant. There was no problem until someone tried to pass one. Shortly thereafter, the Secret Service came to the plant, arrested him and went around gathering up the bills still at the plant. Everyone known to have received one got called to HR for questioning. He could be seen that night on the local news trying to explain the joke to his wife as the agents were loading all his equipment into a van. She seemed to be doing all the talking. The point I’m making is it doesn’t matter if we see the humor. There are others you need to worry about more.

But you put it in the Internet for all to openly take and distribute without the disclaimer.

These Corps landers uptight up in heah.
I thought it was funny too.
I had a buddy many, many years ago found a promising place no one was apparently hunted.
He hunted it. And hung “No Trespassing” signs all over it.
People weren’t quite as uptight about land in the 80s. He never heard from anyone. Never saw anyone. I think he kilt a buck or 2.
He told me about it long after the fact.

Simplex nails in mud holes was the go to deterrent on IP land in Baldwin County when I was young. You'll get a sick feeling when you hear all four tires full of square head nails once you hit the pavement. That's what made me quit hunting there. As for your letter, Stupid.

Back in the early 80s my cousin and I had permission to hunt a big tract of land with only one entrance though I big gate only problem was several others also had permission and in mean several like 15 people plus they always brought all the kids and in-laws and cousin Eddie. We knew the good places we wanted to hunt and got there at 330 opening day. I opened the gate and my cousin said throw that lock in the back of the truck and put this one on it. I was under his tutelage so I did as I was told. We hunted, both killed bucks and left. Several people still at the gate said their keys didn’t work. We just locked her back up and drove to clean our deer with the original lock back in place. Sorry for such a short story made long.

You're getting more grief than the guy that posted the video of him running the donkey over on the 4 wheeler on purpose and bragging about how it died afterward.

I said he was stupid for POSTING a video of it on the internet, and told him it is FELONY cruelty to animals under our state's laws. But that alone apparently made me a tree hugger, liberal POS, etc.

Last time I'll ever give away free legal advice on here. For all i know the video is still on youtube even though the thread got deleted. And if it's still up there, he deserves to get canned for it.
