They're just under the skin and have no effect on the meat. if you can get past the looks there is nothing wrong with eating squirrels or rabbits with them. I draw the line on kitties though  Ain't nothin' wrong with eating a little kitty!

Lord help.................I've never heard of these so I just googled and clicked "Images". that was a mistake
Gomer that is why you don't eat squirrels in the summer time Or until after the first frost. Or ever. Disclaimer. I've probably eaten a truck load of skweryl as a young un. Fried, dumplings, etc. I just can't bring myself to eat one now. Yeah , I'm the same way. Used to love eating them as a kid. Don't even want to think about it now, especially one full of worms
