DoA is not due to go back to work until Aug. 19th, but he will have to be cleared by the company doc and that might mean a trip to NOLA at some point and is likely something he can work around whatever else we have scheduled.

Aside from the mask issue, aren't most restaurants limiting groups to 10 people or less? That could be problematic.

Heck, before it was just difficult to choose a day and place to have a get together, but the current issues complicate it even more.

If someone can offer up a location with plenty of room, a BYOB & chair might be a better idea and possibly find a restaurant that would deliver or cater for a reasonable cost.

There may be some restaurants that could still work with a larger group (separate tables, etc.) and we should definitely explore those options as well.

all good points huntress. Since this one is Chuckys, he can do some research on localities. maybe some place has a banquet room with a partition that is large enough for us to social distance. Not that its high on my list but it must be considered to pull this off.

Ain’t no one down that way got a garage or carport? Pole barn or something like that y’all could all meet up. Do some burgers and hotdogs, cheap and easy. Round up some fans and chairs and you’d be set. We do that all the time here, byob and just kick back. Just some thoughts

No, although it seems a lot of people do, I am just saying mobile has a mask ordinance and baldwin county doesnt but things seem to change every day. Wherever people decide to go I would call in advance and see what kind of foolish rules they are going by at the time.

FYI...my oldest daughter works at a place on the causeway and there's not a restaurant anywhere in Mobile or Baldwin County that will allow over 6 or 8 people (forget what the exact # is) to sit together. We went to where my daughter works after my youngest girl's 8th grade graduation back in June and they wouldn't let our family sit together (it was me, the wife, and 2 daughters, my MIL, FIL, and 2 BILs, my SIL, her husband and their 4 kids). The manager told us that if someone from the health dept were to come in, they could shut the place down right then

Yep. Daniel White is right. Used to do this all the time with some friends until one kicked the bucket and the other moved. Good time sitting in the barn with some recycled air conditioner blowers and fans running. We’d drink some cold beer and eat some burgers, hot dogs, catfish, shrimp or oysters while chewing the fat. Good times even in the heat.

During chemo a person is sensitive to sunlight and heat. I'm not interested in sitting and sweating till I get cramps. Ya'll have a great time. I'm out.

I know my kayak fishing club had a gathering at the Blue Gill on the Causeway that was indoors recently. I’ll do some checking on indoor places
