Unless the park has stepped it up, the last 2 to times I ate there were awful..breakfast was ok..rock house is good..I grew up next door to the gal running the south sauty store..they good folks an mighty fine cooks...they are good friends of mine and would love to feed you. I eat at forty taters in scottsborro the other day an it's still sho good. Local Joe's in Albertville along with mater's(side by side) are good. Crawmamas is good, papa dubis is good...winzells sucks...or it did the last time I ate there...top o the river has good slaw an cornbread...everything else is meh...Giovanni's in Albertville is good..one of my favorites. Got bubba ritos if you like a hand built burrito an the little Mexican place across from it is good...Sakura hibachi is purty good in front of Walmart...there is another place in gville called the back porch or terrace..I forget...it is literally a hole in the wall as I think it's only accessible from the back alley...not bad as it sounds..I keep them alleys niceđ, but that place is bad expensive..like...you ain't leaving under a Benjy spensive....I'd go to sauty Creek tho...Jessie is a world class cook...an I mean a full blown dang fancy hat wearin Gordon Ramsey type deal...she bought my old home place and lives where I grew up...you want be disappointed.

Can't believe y'all propping up CrawMamas, that crap is worse than the garbage you get at the tourist traps.....and more expensive.

Went to the lodge last Thursday-Saturday and will say the breakfast was amazing although they didnât have the breakfast buffet as some mentioned. I assume because of Covid.
We ate Top of the River and Wintzells and Iâll say bother were great. Catfish at Top of the River was amazing.
We were up there for our 10 year anniversary and on the 4th holiday weekend and it wasnt crowded at all. Very quite and relaxing. Youâll enjoy it and the views were amazing. Iâve seen the Lodge while on the lake fishing but it doesnât compare to being up there to see the sunsets.
Breathe....and SQUEEZE!!

The State park Lodge has a nice restaurant but its expensive, there is a cafe in Guntersville called The Rock House Eatery ( https://www.rockhouseeatery.com/) that is worth a visit. Rock house is the place to eat in gville
