When you close your browser it automatically logs you out now. Get used to it. This still the case? I just had to start doing it 2 days ago.

Depends on my browser. I have two laptops and my phone that usually stay logged in for a couple weeks.
The computer in my office makes me log in every time.
Come to think of it, I use chrome on all of them.
Maybe it has more to do with the computer/phone than the browser

I’ve got an iPad that logs me out every time I’m dormant for more than 5-10min and yet my iPhone (same operating system and browser) never logs me out unless I close the browser or dump my cache.
