All comes naturally. Got my first pistol when I was 12.

I was the RSO for our battalion (although I wasn't an officer) I guess you could say I was actually the Range Safety Petty Officer. But I've seen dozens of guys qualify for expert marksman and then couldn't hit the enemy at 20 feet during an actual firefight. It's extremely important to stay proficient with your regular sidearm, just keep in mind that you're likely to screw it up in a panic situation.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

I'm not allowed to carry a pistol at work....but you best dang believe I do everywhere else I go along with a blade long enough to poke important stuff...I'm pretty fair on a weapon draw but don't consider myself an expert but I can kill you or hurt you bad inside 50ft...my ideal plan as far as training goes is to get mine and my families life out of harms way if at all possible an that means getting somewhere that actually stops bullets...draw my weapon and then fight back from a defensive standpoint until we can safely get away...same goes for myself if I'm alone..obviously in any of those situations you never know what you will do and you may not have the option to run,hide,fight..but...I'm not trying to win a firefight with a pistol...I need to get to my truck...WE REALLY NEED TO GET TO MY TRUCK...if I get to MY TRUCK...and the chit has hit the fan where ever I'm at...not only can we get away...but I'll kill you at 2-300yards with what I keep in there....if you are dumb enough to chase an armed good guy back to his truck...your about to die...I'm no expert...but I got a plan.

I do dry fire weakhanded a bit. Had a smart fellow tell me that listening to that little voice in your head about sketchy things and having gun in hand was better than a .10 draw. I'm as guilty as anyone ballistically speaking but don't expect anything handfired to drop'em like Thor's hammer so keep drilling holes til threat subsides.
Only hits count.

Shoot religiously since I was a small kid.have also done a few service rifle and pistol matches would really like to get back into it We had guys in Kodiak that were top notch competing in military shoots. I just like to shoot and didn't bother with it. Check out Coast Guard Hitron videos. We got to train cross service and shoot big guns lol

I train with my job regularly, scheduled for training and qualifications in two weeks. Plus I live in the woods and can shoot whenever I want.
