I'm having my step-grandson (I hate that term) over from SC to visit his brother (my grandson who we are raising) for the week. We get outside to play and I show him a playhouse I built with a swing, ladder, exit slide and a house about 5 ft off the ground. He sticks his head in the door and pauses...............scared of spiders and bugs and didn't want to go in. I finally got his arse in there, and he was fine from there. I just SMDH. I can't relate to these new generation yuppy types. I'm takin his arse out in a SXS tomorrow in some Jackson Co hills, and fishin Sat. Maybe I can get his mind right. Wish me luck.

Congrats Dan, papa is teaching him about being a real man and the outdoors, if it works out. I promise he will never forget this time and be grateful forever. You aren't alone there are other members teaching their grandkids the quality of an outdoor life, plus you are helping his immune system grow. You may change his life. He may just not have ever had that experience. We take things for granted a lot. It may not just be riding on a SxS and fishing, it may be a memory that he has forever. Glad you are taking the time to get them outside. Good for you.

Well he had a good time today riding around this afternoon. Fun watchin his eyes get wide when the throttle was cracked open!!! If he lived nearby, I could "work on him", but hopefully he'll have some good memories for awhile.
