My piggy bank liked it after it was over.

neighbor borrowed my 14 year old grandson Dylan today. Dylan dug, sanded, and put down pavers to build a 20ftX32" walkway driveway to front door for him. He got hot, a blister , and $60 for the work.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I honestly can't remember a summer when I didn't work. I was always an entrepreneur. When I wasn't at the family farm in Sylacauga working for my grandfather for no pay, I had some kind of hustle going on: Mowing grass, Detailing cars for the customers at my Mom's beauty shop, etc... Once my Dad started his construction company, I was put to work, not working for him, but I got jobs with his subs. One summer I was a block mason's helper, several summers I was a carpenter's helper, a painter's helper, etc... in the winter's during school I pumped gas and/or made pizzas. I honestly don't remember a lot of free time when I was a kid, but I leaned a lot. It gave me a lot of construction experience. We didn't have Youtube videos back then you had to learn stuff from some mean, crusty old bastard.

I been beating the earth since I was probly 6-7 years old...pawpaw made sure his grandboys could drive a nail an read a tape measure...I credit my work ethic to him partially...the rest to me just absolutely despising the mediocrity of a worthless no account bum... If you can't work..fine....if you wont work...you are a waste of oxygen.

I’ve humped bales and melons, cut okra, picked peas, painted fences and houses at point clear, fished, picked up coke bottles, cut grass, trapped, and worked at Beef-N-Chick (barf & choke). I know it musta been hot but I cannot remember that aspect. You must be from my neck of the woods. I’ve only ever seen one Barf n Choke. They had some kinda crispy Chicken!!
