I bragged on my gas powered weedeater too soon, after my battery powered on crapped out, I guess. Last week, when I put it up, everything was fine. Yesterday, I went to crank it and it has zero compression. I’ve already read up on what could be the problem on why one would have no compression, but why would it be running great when I put it away, then zero the next time I go to crank it?

Sounds like reed valve is broken.

Exhaust valve stuck open. Does a weedeater have an exhaust valve? Hell, I don't know - but, it has to have some type of valve system or there would be no way to exhaust the gases.

Two strokes use reed valves which will break if you have a backfire or something like that. But that wouldn’t cause 0 compression. The only way to have 0 compression would be a blown gasket between the jug and crankcase, a broken rod, or a spark plug that’s missing. Hell I’ll think of something else in a minute

While it was running the engine was hot and all the metal parts were expanded due to heat,, once you shut it off and it cooled the rings shrunk, along with the piston back to its cold state and therefore it has excessive clearance between the rings and cylinder wall,, ending up with no compression.
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

I’ve already read up on what could be the problem on why one would have no compression, but why would it be running great when I put it away, then zero the next time I go to crank it? Planned obsolescence is a real thing but I doubt that's your issue.

Take the air filter off of the carburetor place your hand over (not directly on) the air intake side and pull the cord. If you feel air or gas coming back out of the carburetor the reed valve is not closing there by letting the piston push the combustion air out (i.e. no compression).
