Anyone got a lead on opening day this year? Trying to decide on wedding day, and was looking at first weekend of September, but not sure about opening day yet...

Just pick any day you want to. If it's not a good choice then you can just buy her a nice shotgun for your first anniversary. You posted pics of her catching crappie with you and I'm betting she would do well in a dove field too. Ef shez good at it, jus don pees er off. grin

Wtf would you want to dove hunt when you have the opportunity to run the train on the neighborhood mules and yotes

Your gonna be flirting with Labor Day, opening day of college football, and dove season the rest of your life due to anniversaries. If it had to be that time frame I’d do last weekend in August.

Alabama’s opening day is always the weekend after Labor Day weekend. If that’s what you’re asking.

I ain’t worried about the anniversaries down the road, this girl wants to hunt and fish more than me. I got her a Stoeger 3000 “women’s/compact” 12 gauge 2 Christmas ago, and she can swing that sob like a grown man. She a amazing DD driver, and goes out of her way to make sure I’m happy. I done trained her ass right. Yea Cmon I just was looking at opening day for this year and everyone else, so I didn’t mess up there plans. It don’t really matter what day we do it on. We was looking at next May, but hell, we gonna do it this year, go ahead and get them tax breaks. 🤣🤣

But for real, I promise y’all, y’all ain’t never met a chick as cool as Mack is. She’s probably the best thing ever happened to me. My kids think the world of her, and she ain’t got no kids for me to deal with. Lol

Hell, wedding with a dove shoot reception sounds like a hell of a good time to me!

Make sure you find it out. 21 years ago, I had the date wrong and agreed with a wedding date based on past openers. The state changed it and so September 11, 1999 I got married instead of shooting doves.

🤣🤣🤣

If it wasn’t for her grandad “my boss” paying for everything and sorta wanting a “classic” wedding for her. We’d just go to the court house and get it done, hell we’ve lived together for 2 years now, so I wanna get it done and make it final. Got a lot of farm land, and some lake front acreage in the forecast. Lol. 💯💯

I thought I was safe and about messed up. Got married on Valentine’s Day. February 14. Gave me two weeks to put deer season in the rearview. Then state changed it to Feb. 10. Cutting it close.
