They’re really bad this year. I pulled 3 off me today alone. That makes 6 total since the spring.

Talked to a couple of MD buddies today. Gonna go get a Lyme titer tomorrow at doc in box. May start on doxy later. Another doc buddy of mine suggested 500mg of Astragalus twice daily for a month. It evidently really puts the immune system in overdrive. Rash is about an inch in diameter. Thanks for the suggestions fellas! Will keep u posted.

When I had my place in Lamar county, each time I made a trip there in late spring or summer I would end up finding 20-30 ticks on me over the next couple of days. I never got sick but each one left a rash and itched like crazy. I think that area is a breeding farm for ticks and red bugs.

Last time I had a bad reaction to a tick bite I had to get a rocephin(so?) shot.....It knocked it out pretty quick.

I wouldn't worry about it unless you get a bullseye rash or feel sick.

After dealing with Lyme disease and the after effects, I'd say keep a close eye on it and if you can get some antibiotics, do it. Still have nerve and joint issues as a result.
