TASERS are nonlethal force, but as pointed out, they make the person incapacitated and at the mercy of the bad guy in this case. That is the officer's defense. Of course, the other side will say that all the deceased wanted to do was run away. Unfortunately we don't have machines to read a dead man's mind so the officer will be offered up as a sacrificial lamb in this case.

Jawbone you seem like the man that will know the answer to this question, those tasers are basically a single shot right? Once he fired it and missed isn't it pretty much just a piece of plastic?

I think the new model tasers have 2 shots in one cartridge.

These folks are get handed a basket full of legal pain including the mayors before it’s all said and done. A policeman doing all he or she can to protect themselves and had no backing. The tide will turn when that happens and it will sting them thugs bad.

Especially considering the fact that Biden is in the early stages of dementia or alzheimers. His VP has a very high likelihood of serving as president if he were to win the election

Tasers were single use devices when I was still working and they have to have another cartridge put in it before it can be used again. This info would appear to be bad news for the officer that fired his duty weapon on the deceased but do we know that he was aware of the first officer deploying his taser already?

This would be an interesting case to follow if the fix didn’t appear to already be in, not in the officer’s favor.

To answer some of y’all’s remarks. I would not go into LE right now, but if I was still in it, I would not quit either and abandon my fellow officers and let the criminals win without a fight.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Good answer Jawbone. Good officers need support from each other and even more so from the public right now more than ever before. My hat's off to you fellows.

Who’s to say the officer who fired knew it was the taser and not the duty weapon of the other officer the idiot got control of

It’s not a fight, it’s kinda like riding with Custer chasing Indians, ain’t no help coming and the committed can’t win!

Excellent point hoggin. If they try to prosecute the officer it will be hard to legitimately show beyond a reasonable doubt that he knew it was a taser and not a pistol the guy pointed at him.

This mob rules mentality isn’t going to end well. Police officers need our support now more than ever. Seeing how the chain of command is of a liberal mindset and will offer them up as a sacrificial lamb instead of having their backs until an investigation is over.
