So i had to get some gas while in pcb over the weekend. Get home and check engine light comes on. Run by mechanic and code is a low pressure something with fuel. Mech asks if any trouble cranking (no)...did i get gas while at beach (yes). Said thats prob your problem. Cleared code, advised to get chevron complete system cleaner. I did and filled up...but light is back on. Anything else i can do?
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

The old standard thing to do when you get a little water in the gas, is to add a bottle of alcohol. The alcohol will mix with the water and it will burn. I think that's basically what Seafoam is. Might try that.I would think modern gas with ethanol would do the same thing.

when I got a tank full of water with a little gas in it, the shop that cleaned it out went through 2 fuel pumps before it finally got it cleared up (after dropping the tank and draining/drying). Not sure how regulations read, but watch old gas stations with only 1 non-eth pump and rest ethanol...was leaking and eth gas was too watered down, so they swapped it to non-eth to hide it. I just happened to fill up off an almost empty tank of mostly water off the bottom.
may be lack of pressure from failing fuel pump.

Just to update. The problem turned out to be a missing bolt, and now a cracked fuel pump housing. HOPING there isn't any internal damage. I stopped by the ford place just to let them listen and advise. Water in the gas wasn't the problem.
