About how much does it cost hire someone to open a small road and an acre food plot in natural regrowth that is 15 to 20 years old?

Depending on the rd work probably $8-1500.

wish I could get that price. If you need a trackhoe, it's going to be more than that.

$1500 won’t even get you started if you plan on clearing 15-20 year old timber. Running a dozer and track hoe removing stumps and leveling it back off without scraping all your top soil is going to cost you more than that.

I spent $800 having a rd finish graded and a 1/2 acre plot pushed out and another 1/4 acre cleaned up. Dozer and root rake 8 year’s ago didn’t figure it went up that much. And this was on a natural regrow clear cut.

Depends on a lot of things. 15-20 year old regrowth your gonna need a decent sized dozer or one of the bigger type forestry munchers. Depending on where you at I might can help you

I don't have the property yet. I am looking at some land and wanted to see what to expect afterwards if I do buy it.

Depends on the type of trees. I cut a nice road through some pines with my excavator and just pushed the downed trees off to the side in about 6h. I cleared a 1/2 acre of small hickory trees that took me 3 days.

I just bought my property as well and have already spent a lot of time on my land with my equipment. My suggestion is don’t skimp on the money if it’s your own property. Spend the money up front to make it nice. My skid steer and dozer will be making frequent trips to my property to make it nice.

You can do things a lot cheaper if you're willing to do it over the course of tbe next three years or so.....Layout the design with flagging and then hack n squirt all the trees that need taking out. You can also start using a tank sprayer to knock down any understory with herbicide as well. It's effective but just takes time

Just in my experience on an unplanted clear cut, at about year 6 o 7 it becomes impossible to use a tractor and big bush hog to clear anything. Hardwoods have gotten big enough in areas to make it impossible. Pine trees aren't the issue.

Add 7 years onto that, which is where you are at, and you are going to need a good size dozer and someone who knows what they are doing to get the job done for a fair price. Probably too big for a skid steer and mulcher at this point. Just a guess, but your probably looking at 2 grand absolute minimum.
