Is it worth the money to pay a guide on neely Henry or weiss to go bass fishing? That's my two lakes I plan to fish the most. Just trying to decide if it would be worth it for future knowledge and learning how to find fish. Only been bass fishing a few years mainly just beating the banks. Has any of yall been with anyone on them lakes and do yall recommend anybody?

All fishing trips are worth it. You will always learn something.

He’s a great guy too and fun to fish with, if it’s the same Mike Carter that fishes Guntersville a lot.

You’ll be ahead money wise if you hire a guide.

If I was going to pay for learning a lake, it would definitely be Weiss. Weiss IMO is the most dangerous lake in Alabama that I've fished. I've seen trees cut off just under the surface in marked boat lanes there.

Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!

If being a dumbass was fatal some of you would be on your death bed!

I'll second that. I've learned more from guides in a few hours than fishing for several years. It will save you time and money no doubt. Nobody knows a body of water like a good guide. Key words, good guide.

If I had to pay someone to catch fish in a lake id find a different hobby. just take a cooler full of beer with you and if they arent biting you wont care by the time you get loaded back up at the ramp.
