There is a guy named Mike Carter that guides. He is a hell of a stick. Go find coosa river team trail of Facebook. he posts in there a lot. He’s a great guy too and fun to fish with, if it’s the same Mike Carter that fishes Guntersville a lot.

If I was going to pay for learning a lake, it would definitely be Weiss. Weiss IMO is the most dangerous lake in Alabama that I've fished. I've seen trees cut off just under the surface in marked boat lanes there.

I've learned more from guides in a few hours than fishing for several years. It will save you time and money no doubt. Nobody knows a body of water like a good guide. Key words, good guide.
