First off, I understand Trump's frustration with Sessions. He should not have taken the job if he knew he was going to recuse himself.
BUT, I am tired of politicians' only platform being that they are a Trump "yes" man. Why not just tell me what you stand for and leave Trump out of it? I can deduce based on your stance if you align with Trump. I don't think Sessions should go back due to the fact that he has had enough time there, and he did a good job as a senator.
I just wish Trump would stay out of our elections.
Jeremy And let Bama put Doug back in office again. Are you serious? No, I definitely don't want Jones back in. I know it will not happen, but I want our representatives to run on what they stand for and how they will represent us instead of a wholesale "Trump likes me and I like him".

I believe Sessions was a great Senator but a lousy AG. What he did by recusing himself will forever be the black mark that people will remember and itâs a shame. If you want to flip the Scrout and Obama was in office do you think Eric Holder would have ever recused himself? HECK NO! Sessions had a chance to drain the swamp but had too many irons in the same fire as the other Rats and wasnât going to rock the boat. He took the easy way out and claimed he had to do it. Now, can we get Dougy out with Tubbs and talk ole Jeff into making a run for Governor when Maw Maw steps down? His political experience needs a position somewhere in our state government. If he canât drain Washington maybe he can redeem himself and drain Montgomery.

Sessions had no intentions of investigating or prosecuting Hillary and voiced this to Trey Gowdy Sessions also after his recusal said on numerous occasions that Rod Rosenstien was a good man and would handle the investigation correctly Sessions knew IMO that the Russia probe was a sham because of who was heading it up

Sessions needs to be held accountable for his actions. Legally Sessions had to recuse himself because he was listed in the investigation. You cant investigate yourself.
Couldnât Sessions have resigned from the position, wasnât he part of the stall tactics if he didnât resign? If the answer to either question is âyesâ then I agree with the first quote.

To the Op, how the hell do you know how many dirty underhanded and illegal deals Sessions made ? Just because he wasn't caught doesn't mean he is pure. He let the President and Trump down, and for your information Presidents have made endorsements since this Country was founded. it sounds like you are blind to the worthlessness of Sweet Jeff. Jeff has been removed from the swamp, lets keep him out. if you like him so much, you can send him flowers. Keep his sorry azz out of Washington.

I don't know how many deals Sessions made. I can only go off of a comparison of him to other Alabama senators (i.e. Doug Jones). I am not saying Jeff Sessions is the best option we have. He has had his time in DC and needs to be at home. I just want us to have representation that can say something other than I like Trumpv and he likes me. I am probably as fiscally, morally, and socially conservative as most on here. I voted for Trump, although he was not my choice in the primaries. I understand riding the coat tails is what works right now. I just don't like it and wish our representatives would be there own people. What was your opinion of Jeff Sessions as a senator before his botched AG position? That question is for everyone on here busting his chops right now that thought it was a good idea for him to take the AG position. I might lose, but, if we are all honest, I would bet everyone thought he was doing a good job as a senator. Jeremy

He will live without dc He's about 13 years younger than Shelby đ Maybe they should go fishing together Yes, in a very leaky boat. Sessions and Shelby are both members of the swamp. We need term ,limits so bad. Chance did you see the video of Sessions slapping Bidens hand when he attempted to touch sessions Grand Child ? Although we thought it was funny, the fact remains there are still predators in our highest offices and the swamp (Sessions) along with other Republicans have covered for that POS and watched him steal from everything he touched. It's time these perverts are purged from our highest offices. The mere fact that everyone knows what biden is and they allow it to go on shows the SWAMP, has no decency or morals to boot. Drain the swamp and don't allow any of them to return once they are out ! I have no knowledge of Tuberville, but I do know Sessions time has come to an end. Unlike outback, I love Alabama, I grew up in Mobile and wish I was there. Until these snakes are removed Alabama can't move forward. Jeff has hurt us all enough.

Sessions was a deep state plant from the day he joined the Trump campaign. He was was personally responsible for handcuffing the Trump administration. He deserves to be run out of Alabama Who planted him?

Everybody hollers at the top of their lungs to get rid of career politicians..........until they have the chance to vote one out. Exactly! Who the hell wants to re-elect Sessions? He has spent his whole life working in Government. President Trump asked him to drop out. We had 8 awful years of Obama and we finally get a POTUS that appoints strict constitutionalist judges, is building a wall, signed new fair trade deals around the world, created record jobs, cut our taxes and has had to fight the most corrupt place in the world - the deep state swamp filled with both parties. Trump asks us for one thing - vote Tuberville because he needs supporters not career swamp dwellers. Anyone that has not witnessed the shucks show the last three years ago with McCain changing his vote to repeal Obamacare, the Mueller investigation that went after Trump and his family, the Kavanaugh hearings shucks show and about 12 votes away from removing President Trump over BS charges that are not even constitutional over a phone call where Trump did nothing wrong. Alabamians need to wake the hell up and get on the Tommy train. I have no idea why this is so hard to figure out.

Sessions wants back in because for the first time in almost 30 years, he is no longer "in the loop and in the in crowd". He's been out now for almost a year and his family's net worth hasnt increased a dime. He's found out that making money like the rest of us have to do, without the benefits of insider information and you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours deals, is a whole lot harder than he remembered it being. When you have to abide by the laws and regulations, it's a lot hareder to make money in the market and on deals. He like the rest of them up there had been doing it so long that they alll actually think they are pretty smart. Over the last year, he's now seen reality and found out otherwise and also that having to operate within the same laws that the rest of the general public is required to follow, severely limits your ability to make money and he is now wanting to get back into the game. It's not about his wanting to serve his country, too young to retire, or missing the action, it's about nothing more than pure old $$$$$. SWAMP RAT just like the rest of them.
