No it's not too late. It's prime time for planting corn. I've seen folks planting as late as July 4 for hunting purposes, but it would worry me planting that late. I'd plant ASAP.

We are planting some corn at the club tomorrow. I’ve planted some tropical varieties of corn as late as August with good success for deer.

Same here. Already sprayed and bush hogged. Turning dirt and planting next week or two.

Have to plant late or there won’t be any left during season.

Incorrect. 2 days before will be 102. The day before will be violent storms and THEN freezing. slap grin

Turned dirt all week so I could plant this weekend but rain last 2 days had made a mess. Maybe it will soak up enough by sunday.

Yeah, haven't had rain in forever, spent the last few weeks getting everything ready planning to plant this weekend...and yesterday just came a gully washer. Not sure going to be able to plant like I wanted to now.

Got everything in ground last Sunday and as we are dragging my buddy commented that it was the driest we ever planted. Within 20 minutes and 1 and 1/2 acres from being done it came a deluge enough I could not pull drag. Hopefully seed got beat in enough

I did some today both ways. We'll see which does better.

I’ve done both. Planter is nicer and neater, but if you’ve got plenty of seed and no planter, don’t let that stop you. You can get a great crop with broadcast.
